The Journal of Neoscience

The Journal of Neoscience covers topics that relate to Neoscientific Understanding and its application in today’s world. In times past issues like assisted dying, cloning, abortion, right to life concepts, even women’s rights have been relegated to the pervue of religious orientation and understanding. All the while, depending on the spiritual or religious orientation, the answers to these questions have had varying answers. Moreover, in today’s world where these topics and more raise questions that are inclusive of the following list there is a real need for answers. 

1. What is sentient life?

2. Is artificial intelligence dangerous?

3. Should bio-augmentation be allowed?

4. How far should we go with genetic engineering?

5. Can we create a super species of humans?

6. What about designer babies?

7. What is the nature of the Soul, if it exists at all?

8. Is there a relationship between consciousness and genetics?

Advances in technology are driving a need for answers to these at an unprecedented level. Politicians are often afraid to grapple with these difficult questions, if they are even aware of the technological advances at hand. Beyond, this many of these topics have the potential to generate Single Point of Influence (SPOI) events that create a situation where one or a small group of people can have consequences both positive or negative for the whole or large portion of the human species. This emergent reality has called us to balance the Existential Rights of the individual with those of the human species as well as other species.

The Charged Metaphor

This and those associated with a specific religious or spiritual tradition have often adhered these answers resulting in a great deal of political polarization. This has often created disagreements between various demographic cohorts as well as providing fodder for what we call the “charged metaphor” phenomenon. The charged metaphor being an expression of polarization; often caused by a reaction that follows from how we name often similar principles and concepts across different traditions and cultures. Neoscience places these concepts in a respectful scientific framework that honors traditional spiritual practice while genericizing emergent principles. Using well defined methodologies for developing an understanding of what is true, emergent synthetic principles are presented in conjunction with these pressing issues.
